Presentation of the book

On 19 August 2025, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping's book ‘On Respecting and Guaranteeing Human Rights’, first published in the Uzbek language, was presented at the InterContinental Tashkent Hotel in Tashkent.

The event was organized by the Chinese Society for the Study of Human Rights, the Administration for the Publication and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages of the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of the PRC in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the National Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights.

The presentation of the book was attended by the permanent member of the People's Political Consultative Council of the National Committee of China of the 14th convocation, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for National and Religious Affairs, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society for the Study of Human Rights Jian Jianguo, Director of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, representatives of the diplomatic corps, scientific and academic circles, government bodies, public organizations, the media, as well as experts in the field of human rights from China and Uzbekistan.

In their speeches, the speakers noted the importance of the book "On Respect and Guarantee of Human Rights" as an authoritative source revealing China's conceptual approaches to human rights protection. It was noted that the publication of this book in Uzbek will open up new opportunities for the mutual exchange of scientific knowledge, deepening interstate dialogue, and expanding humanitarian cooperation.

At the end of the event, guests and participants were presented with the Uzbek edition of the book "On Respect and Guarantee of Human Rights" by the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
